“Like the flowers surrounding the girl’s altar in The Man with the Red Eyes,” Templeton said. “He ate one.”

I read the poem a second time. “Are you saying the man deflowered her?”

#WIPSnips for 3/29: Touch

“Kind, protective, resourceful, loyal.” Asmodeus crossed his arms and shrugged. “Lonely, frustrated, yearning for your touch, dreaming of something more.”

“Stop it.” I hated him...

Whenever he retrieved a piece of his lunch—a strange mix of fried pickle spears, Buffalo cauliFLOWER nuggets, and coconut beer-battered tempeh—he rolled slightly to his left.

(Erm, slight spoiler. Let's just say things are forced to a head and people admit secrets.😏)

#WIPSnips word for today: Ego. Since the word doesn't appear in my WIP, I'm vibing it with Mr. Ego himself, Templeton.

“I could keep you here, Lucie. It would be for your own good. There’s nothing you could do.”

Skipping Day 10 (don't have one). Day 11: Character I want to have drinks with. I'm tempted to name one of my own—ha! Instead I'll choose "Bad Boy" Kylan from @rosejfairchild.bsky.social's Taste of Faerie series. I hope I don't regret it!🤭

(I should probably mention that in my series, all Rabbits are named...Rabbit. 😉)

Why would he bother to trust a ‘lowly’ Rabbit to relay a message that you might be walking into the middle of an epidemic?

If I may recommend one of my own, Door to Door by T.L. Brown is a fun fast-paced paranormal mystery adventure! MC is 30 year old who falls in and out of trouble. The ebook is free on Amazon and other booksellers (it’s the first book in a trilogy). 😃

I'm late! 🤪 Anyhow, #Saturdark Prompt: Lost
