Today's Saturdark prompt is Dream. This snippet comes from my current work in process, Walking a Fine Witchline, book three in the Bellerose Witchline adult dark fantasy series by T.L. Brown. He’d stretched out his legs to keep his Doc Martens off the blanket and leaned back on his hands. Whenever he retrieved a piece of his lunch—a strange mix of fried pickle spears, Buffalo cauliflower nuggets, and coconut beer-battered tempeh—he rolled slightly to his left. Sometimes he winced when he moved, and I wondered if the position bothered his hips. He’d never admit it.
