We are not doubting the existence of LC or the validity of the issues it causes
We are saying that if someone suffers cognitive disabilities so bad that they don't remember to actually register for college (actual example from the comments), maybe now is not the time to attend college

My husband got fed up of being admin to my laptop, so when I got a new one, I set myself as admin. He borrowed it once, and I have spent literally years trying to get the thing to stop defaulting back to him being admin. I managed it once, and at the next update, it undid it

There are people who have been campaigning for asylum seekers to get bus passes for years, so obviously they will instead have to work out a route and pay for each individual trip separately, because that's so sensible

The problem is that those who made it through school despite LC are going on to college, because there isn't an alternative. This isn't good for anyone

We've been getting a veg box for years, with occasional breaks when I know we won't have the time or energy to cook that way, and it's a real adjustment, even though I mostly cooked from scratch before
I scrub everything that needs it when the box arrives, otherwise it won't get used

They market authors to readers, and they use lists to sell authors to bookshop buyers and libraries
But they also need agents to send them that promising new author's book. Big advances attract them
