My preschooler jumped in the tank pretty quick when we went to No Kings. He understands that there are people (and he'll say "like Vladimir and Donald and Elon") who want to be kings and take all the money.

Here's a dumb metaphor:

I have a cook book that tirelessly looks for the best version of every recipe. Problem is, the "best version" often means starting a day earlier with specialty ingredients. I'm hungry today.

"Best" does not mean practical or viable for everyone.

A- if an RN is making beds then something is going wrong and speed is more important than precision

Last time I watched it I was really struck by how well the first act foreshadowed the rest of the movie. The way it toured us through all the places that would be important later.

But also you need to keep ALL of them happy. The pick a side aspect is coming from a "no Gods before me" viewpoint which wasn't present in polytheistic relgions.

This is my understanding of how polytheistic religion was viewed in the ancient world. The gods exist and can fuck you up at anytime so you keep them happy by doing the rituals and sacrifices they like. So yeah, a king (or mob boss) who could burn your village at any point.
