I know its probably not the response u were looking for but there's a lot of guides out there for this kind of thing so hopefully it'll be faster than waiting for me to finally get around to doing it

I did try updating the textures shortly after DT dropped but it didn't go well. I havent been playing xiv for a while and I don't want to promise anything cuz knowing me I'll put it off an forget. I'd honestly recommend looking into how to update them and trying it yourself.
