I write code and listen to chiptunes. Elixir nerd. My thoughts are your own.
If you use lazyvim, this is the only thing that worked for me

you can just build things without a complicated tech stack or tooling

And to avoid nesting `case` conditions, we can use `with`

I don't know much about kotlin, so I looked up `when` and I'd use it for most things, too.

I use `if` in the very specific case of a boolean expression I can't pattern match. A single if/else.

Just a small tractor and it could never be safely towed by a car.

Loads of lumber, landscaping stuff, and dump runs that would also be way too much for a car.

Also, I've never really built furniture. However, built a few cabinets and a lot of outdoor structures and house framing for a living before programming.

Someone who builds furniture might have some tricks up their sleeve for this.

(structurally interesting photos of past projects attached)

i don't know how coffins are constructed but i'd play with this general idea, adding or removing more support depending on what it's like

Young developers:

While you are young, establish your dotfiles.
Configure your editors and your operating system.

Once you are married, with children, have a full-time job, a mortgage, side projects, etc. It's too late.
