I loved both the art on the paperbacks (these) and the wraparound covers by Evaline Ness on the hardcovers (this is a set I sold a while back, but I collect and clean/restore these and other books)

As long as we’re sharing, this was my used book score yesterday, a copy of Lloyd Alexander’s book Time Cat. An underrated book by an author whose work should be read more

Also Jesus Christ look at you, you responded to this post: "Moreover you need to stop centering the perpetrator. The point is that all the victims are children" with "No they were teenagers." You expect polite society to tolerate that? It shouldn't.

There’s more than one source! It looks like we get ours from IAM LU 447.

Solidarity forever! Proud to see this support from our siblings at ILWU
Dear President Greenwald: On behalf of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU), I am writing to offer our unwavering solidarity to the dedicated workers from NTEU who have been impacted by the partisan layoffs during the goverment shutdown. Like many Americans, I have been appalled by the Administration's recent threat and subsequent execution of mass firings of federal employees during the government shutdown. It is unconscionable that this decision is a continuation of the systematic targeting of workers and agencies the president deems to be "Democrat-oriented." Just as outrageous, the Administration suggested that it may deny back pay to furloughed workers when the shutdown ends and they go back to work. Regardless of who is at fault for the ongoing shutdown, I believe that using it as an excuse to punish hardworking civil servants - many of whom are still working without pay — is an affront to our democratic values that must be uniformly condemned by the American labor movement. There can be no rationale for threatening to fire and laying off thousands of Americans who have devoted their lives to serving and protecting the public, more than a third of whom are veterans. The ILWU stands with NTEU members and all government workers. We stand ready to raise our voices in protest along with millions of other trade union members across the country. Of all the opposing counsel I've ever encountered, the ones from Jackson Lewis were the most polite and ethical, I would never think that they would ever operate in anything other than complete good faith.

As a reminder the Hatch Act prohibits partisan political speech or activity while feds are on duty, on government property, or in uniform. That means advocating for the success or failure of a party or candidate.
