Just finished this - highly recommended. Macy describes her tough upbringing and her climb to a better place, intertwined with the demise of her hometown and the spread of MAGA through a majority of her lifelong people. I can relate. I gotta interact better with them.

1961 - here's a pic of my dog Kenny, who is named in part after Dorham and Drew, collaborating here with Jimmy Heath.

This is an outstanding story of several of the public servants targeted by the clown car of idiots running our government today. Highly recommended.

Good morning Johnny! Yes, you got it. Rollins has retired and he is the sole survivor. Here's the roster if you're interested. I love stuff like this.

What is it about these chef memoirs that draws me in so deeply? I loved Kitchen Confidential by Bourdain, and this one I think I loved even more. Not sure how Hamilton is regarded as a chef, but this personal story is well worth it. Highly recommended.

I loved the idea of this book - that leaving societal / governmental / international change up to the people that have insanely profited from the system as it is is completely irrational. And it is. At the end, I thought this was more a half hour book, not a 10 hour book. Still worth a listen.

I expected this to be an analysis of how US society had changed from 1977 to 2012. Instead, it is a collection of biographies of Americans and what happened to them during that time - some famous, others not. Not very analytical, but excellent writing and interesting.

In the past year, I've read several recent books about the immigration crisis in the US. This is one of the best - made me realize once again how much the people that are trying to get in the US are exactly the people we want. None of them mention how our need for year round bananas made this.

Lola, Ruby and Jack hope you get better.

A job candidate sits down for an interview. Interviewer: "What's your greatest weakness?" Candidate: "I'm too honest." Interviewer scoffs: "I don't think honesty is a weakness!" Candidate: "I don't give a fuck what you think."
