A friend who still votes in US elections but has lived in Cambridge, England for 11 years can't stand it. Come to think of it, his wife is from Singapore (and is faculty at Cambridge Univ.) so I wonder if their kids have dual citizenship or just US.

I live in NC11. Anger towards Chuck Edwards has been growing as that millionaire hasn't gotten our FEMA relief post-Helene since January, supported cutting NPS & NFS jobs, of which we have MANY, and has voted to hurt our many working poor. 4 Dems opposing him and one GOP thus far.

I ranted on the phone at my senators who I told repeatedly before RFK, Jr's confirmation vote that people, including children, *would* die and their deaths would be on the heads of each senator who voted to confirm him. They probably still don't care. sigh.

I told my GOP senators, one of them MAGA, that the deaths of children would be on them if they confirmed him. Obviously, they didn't care. [insert expletives of choice]

I honestly miss Michigan winters, but those just go on for *too* long. The politics are insane here now though. (Purple state, but the worst gerrymandering in the country.)
