Yes they work very hard. The most impressive was a cascade of flowers running down the church bell tower, must be nice to be able to knit/crochet so well.

The town has a Pina Colada Festival in Summer and every bollard around the town has a pineapple with a face and a name, thru do a trail for the children 😊

Ah I see, there are 2 large 9th-century Anglo-Saxon stone crosses in Sandbach not too far from me, amazing detail but not as exposed as yours as they stand in a town square.

Such a useful skill that you never know when you’ll need. GPS is a great tool but I still think a map and compass should be carried. Tech can be unreliable, get wet, go flat. I have a friend that can’t read a road map, just follows sat nav blindly.
