Bold take. Oilers should probably stay out of the free agent pool all together this summer and run the roster back. Fill gaps by giving young guys a shot, depending on performance and price maybe you can extend Frederic in place of Kane. Run 3 goalies all year to try Rodrigue. Accue cap space.

I don't love giving up our 2nd most valuable draft pick for the next two years for Frederic. But I do wonder if he's meant to replace Kane as a 3rd line winger and a Kane trade is impending.

With tarrifs coming into effect, I wonder if now is the time to start ramping up some mega projects in this country.
The Quebec City to Toronto high speed rail project got me thinking that steel manufacturers could maybe be put to work pumping out the rails themselves.
