My current proper nas is a... 11th gen Intel CPU? ~27tb of rust, plus some other drives for things like a Dropbox cache, security camera feed, os, and docker var/lib. That plus an n150 router and a separate SBC + switches and omada controller are at about 160W on my pdu.
Nas also houses a 2080+t4

N150 systems from Intel, long in the tooth (ish) but solid platforms. Arm is too, but they're harder to find in a good form for making a reliable device, os selection is more limited, but some prepackaged solutions from qnap. Feature wise very limited tho.

I've reimpleted my management under a beelink me mini, solid little machine. Utterly silent. 2.5gbps connections. Only bummer is the emmc which truenas scale HATES. Ended up just going with fedora server to run komodo+puppet management containers, but it's got 6x nvme ports in it.
