Another very cool thing I saw at the Redpath museum: "Buddha's Pearls", where someone adhered little figurines to the inside of a mussel and got pearlescent coatings on all of them. They'd later typically be detached and sold as little marvels.

Damn... I'm learning that I should have picked Napoleon as one of the starter mechs for putting the game engine tent spikes down. I don't have a good way of telling if a persistent effect comes from something that "requires activation". Nothing else in the game needed that.

More Lancer tonight, live in 10 again. Last week we had a nice rumble of a fight and the party managed to take down an enforcer's mech using nothing but improvised pilot weapons.

Hey shot in the dark does anyone know how to make trees like this in game engines?
We're exploring how we wanna do trees for LT and are really out of our depth in this area. Ideally procgen'd somehow (even in blender) and able to throw in some slight wind animation of the canopy.

Played a Lancer oneshot at PAX (Tombs of Delios, by @kastark.bsky.social) alongside a bunch of new players. It's a good game!! Folks picked it up very fast, and basic NPCs offer interesting tactical challenges.

I am sorry to say that my kitchen window spider has passed away 😔 she's hanging upside down by a single thread all splayed out, unlike the normal curling-in that spiders do.
