“I’m not much for tradition.” Caelina said with a soft laugh, her green eyes glancing up at the mistletoe above her. She accepted the drink from him, fingers brushing his just a little too intentionally.

“But I can do it now, right?”

“oh, darling. You can lean on me as much as you like.”

She didn’t pull away—instead, she leaned in a little closer to him.

Caelina raised an eyebrow immediately—unfazed, a small smile curling at the corner of her lips. Her fingertips brushed lightly against his arm.

“Tired…?” Her voice was sweet and warm enough to make the air around them seem to pause.

“…Is that why you’re leaning on me like this?”

“You’ve even left me at a loss for what question I should ask you next.”

“Maybe you should kiss me… so I can turn back to my normal form, like a true love’s kiss or something.” she said jokingly, continuing to nibble on the apple.

“Then you’ll have to work hard to get me to that point… darling.”

Her voice was sweet, almost teasing but her eyes held the same challenge as before—as if she wanted to see whether he could actually pull it off, or if he was just talking big.

“Okay, you can lick me until I’m soaking wet, darling. I give up.”

She pretended to surrender to him.

Caelina jolted slightly when the other woman pick her up.

She smiled at him fondly, looking at him as if what he was doing was genuinely amusing.

Caelina was very surprised, but she couldn’t help laughing in amusement.
