Just found out that the organic farm where I worked for two summers in Canada has been sold as the young woman who ran it for 20 years moves onto the next phase of her life.

👏🥹 I learned so much here!

We love Hackney, but it needs to work for all of us.

Rising rents. Mouldy homes. Foodbanks.

Zoë Garbett is running Mayor of Hackney to change that - with Dylan as Deputy.

But we need YOU.

I don’t spend much time here mostly because I feel like the TL is too American-focused.

Is that the case for everyone?

Or do I need to do something to see more global news and conversations?

I’m interested in my other homelands - Canada, UK, Ireland, Uganda - and the world more broadly.

🤔🙏

Great point🎧💭

AI is ALREADY better than Jr staffers in campaigns on developing CLEAN DRAFTS quickly.

But AI copy lacks CREATIVITY & RELEVANCE.

Experienced comms pros still have better INSTINCTS & can analyse/edit AI output with juniors to TRAIN them!

For too long the rage that sits, simmering within people across the United States has been stuffed down, delegitimized, squashed.

But we need it. We need it now. And we need vehicles to allow its unleashing to topple oligarchs and help usher in a new era.

Everyone should know how to sew a button back on! 🪡

(Having the right colour of thread imho less important 😂 now this jacket has more character 🙃)

One of those skills we’ve got to keep teaching the youngens, along with farming, cooking and other basic survival skills.

Wild week for Trump effects.

Friends in Uganda seen supplies withdrawn from offices & clinics; fate of healthcare salaries unknown, due to USAID work stoppage.

Friends in Canada stocking up on supplies as 25% tariffs cause panic.

For once UK seems relatively stable… for now.🫠

Led a practice training on networking skills today & I asked what participants found easiest & most challenging.

Everyone feared being judged while introducing themselves but found it easy to ask others questions.

Also, everyone said they didn’t notice others’ insecurities.🤣

According to Barron’s, Elon Musk’s wealth increased by almost $200 billion between November 5 and December 20. That means he could give $250,000 to every homeless person in the US and still be as rich as he was on November 5.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. saw an 18.1% increase in homelessness this year, with more than 770,000 people counted as homeless.

Having ADHD and being on social media can be a fun experience where you see something that makes you feel bad/uneasy, scroll past it, forget it, but the unease stays and you’re like “why do I feel bad and how do I make it better” but you can’t bc your brain has already moved on but your gut hasn’t 🤷🏻‍♀️
