I've seen things you people wouldn't believe, Charlie Brown. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

@schumer.senate.gov needs to realize that we have a government built on Norms. Too bad Norm left DC for good on January 20 2025. Thanks to @baldwin.senate.gov for not voting for this “deal”!

When we look at this massacre and many more perpetrated by the RSF, let's be clear who funds, equips & sustains them. It's the UAE. Yes, the same UAE that might own your football club, fly you on your holidays, invests in our national infrastructure. If boycotts work, we should be boycotting now.
“Individuals on the ground sent a message that reached us Monday morning that 1,200 were dead,” Nathaniel Raymond, the lab’s executive director, said. “By that evening, they said 10,000. By Tuesday, we couldn’t reach them anymore. We assume our ground contacts are dead.”

Is there a video that exists that has the history of Earth proportional to time? Because I feel like it'd be possible to rescale said video to a music track.
I just finished my favorite lecture of the year, in which I give my 105 students their first homework assignment (that I stole from Dave Jablonski): present the history of the Earth scaled to something with a distinct beginning, middle, end, etc. I made an example using Bohemian Rhapsody. and she fell on me.
Then it wouldn’t seem quite so funny.
