I’m sorry: that wasn’t directed at you, although it would be a good thing if we all refused to allow media to depersonalize hate.

It is not. How does that comment have any bearing on the request for help with a quilt pattern?

I know! How easy: bench scraper, chop chop chop and done! They rose so well too with those clean crisp sides.

My brother is very mildly allergic to walnuts: he always says they make his teeth itch. Weird eye/itchy teeth might = a mild allergic reaction?

Picture if you will EIGHT undiagnosed but obviously neuro-divergent old gits trying to rebuild a safe and functioning stream engine. It was an hilarious, horrifying, half-mad/half-brilliant project over nearly a decade.

For your grandson: my husband was one of the crew that stripped the Shay steam locomotive down to the ground and rebuilt her for the BC Forest museum en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shay_lo...

I wouldn’t border it unless you need it for size. It stands by itself beautifully.

2/2 two Christmas prints: one large scale fruit and flower and one a more dense floral. I auditioned dozens of accents for the inner border before hitting on this weird gold. Learned a valuable lesson: sometimes the ugly fabrics are just what a quilt needs to be elevated. #quiltsky

2/2 The quilts have no monetary value so can’t be sold or stolen to feed an addiction, but will keep folks warm and dry, especially as we also included a small tarpaulin. For more, check out the ugly quilt project www.thesleepingbagproject.org/help-us/inst... My friend tried it, ‘super cozy!

Super simple construction: 6 1/2” print squares alternate with 3 1/2”x 6 1/2” strips. Sew 2” plain squares on the diagonal of the strips’ corners trimming corners and pressing to make star points. Add 3 1/2” plain squares to complete ‘stars’

It’s so hard to walk the line between so dense it stands up by itself and so loose it bubbles! I unfortunately err on the side of quilted to within an inch of its life. Yours looks great!
