Michel Piccoli is the great unused sixties Bond villain. He would have been a better Largo in Thunderball.

Don't look at me like that. You're all thinking the same.

Recommendation: "Shield For Murder", a really good film noir starring Edmond O' Brien. A decent addition to the "crooked cop feeling the noose tighten round him" subgenre. Quite brutal for its era. It features one of the most rigorous pistol whippings I've seen for a while. It's on Amazon Prime.

Bobby G looked like Noel Gallagher.

It had A LOT in common with Mills & Ezquerra's "Third World War" in subject matter: a black teenager drafted into corporate-sponsored war in Latin America. But it was a lot less sententious and preachy.

Okay go with me on this: Michael Keaton's Batman wasn't a grim, moody avenger. He was eccentric, amusing and charming... and delighted in his crazy devices. He was basically a crime-busting Caractacus Potts from "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"...

Just done some work for that upcoming film about blue-skinned clones engineered to wage war on a foreign planet with an inhospitable atmosphere. Avatar? Nah. 'Ave a tea, more like.

Today, I gave a talk on comic strip illustration to the talented young artists at East Sussex College Lewes. I don't think I put any of them off, thank goodness. (They insisted I shared pictures of my fab Pretty Green paisley shirt too).

Today I found out that the actual copy of Daredevil comic that inspired Julian Cope's band to name themselves "The Teardrop Explodes" was previously owned by Eamon Rohan who played THAT parishioner in Father Ted. Small world.
