Sure being raised masc means that I still associate myself with some "masc" traits. But now they arent "masc" traits to me. Theyre just human traits that I can choose to accept or to ignore.

I feel this. Adding to it though i personally feel like gendered rolls altogether strike me as strange. Since very recently Ive started counting myself as nonbinary because almost everything we assign to a sex as being "gender norms" strikes me as silly at best and detrimental at worst.

Fair enough. Thats why I like a lot of the other iterations of superman. Constant striving to be the better person. Snyder's is there but the whole killing a guy thing kinda rubs me the wrong way ngl.

Papyrus, Superman (not snyder), Batman (not snyder either), Clive Rosfield, etc. All these characters inspire me to be kinder. To be a better person. Its what we should encourage in our art. A reminder that we're all people and need to treat each other with kindness.

More and more am I drawn to characters themes and stories about sincerity for that exact reason. trust, compassion, empathy, kindness. Its how we survive as people.
