Absolutely ! One thing I have come to dislike is when color tone doesn't match mana color. For me that's one of the biggest fail, readability-wise, of UB "through the ages" sheets

People dislike synthetic content but it will likely be harder and harder to tell, leading to misleading purchases. Like social slop, at one point you start feeling icky and it becomes easier to just switch to a more « trustful » platform. I’m pretty sure my kids have this generational agility.

If current platforms only care for volume due to their open-submission nature, it paves the way for alternative platforms that will enforce stricter rules, with less but curated content.

Life will find a way.

Short-term: this is bad news across all media because of discoverability. Also, it seems inevitable that GenAI content will meet some degree of success and amplify hits replication, leading to a glut of synthetic content.

I believe that in current trend is seeded an alternative distribution.

And that feels great. AAA game productions have relied on the same myths and settings since the beginning of the medium. D&D, Urban Warfare and hard sci-fi. I yearn for a different energy, visuals, pantheon of gods, and it seems humans around the world too.

Although OpenAI CFO prompted tried to ctrl+z her comment, that’s excellent news. It means that people bathing in the life blood of capitalism in the Elyseum of high-level finance, are starting to squint at openAI requests. Maybe the day when Ed Zitron can take a few days off is not so far !

I bear no judgment on cashiers. It shows that behind even the least economically rewarded jobs, there's an invisible glue of thousands of decisions, socials contacts, judgment calls etc. that have direct consumer and €€ impacts. It's no surprise CEO who despise bottom of the ladder don't see it.

Same ! For me it's an automatic social expense, like a farewell party gift. it's like the price of a meal with a friend, you don't need to beg for a key when it's out and you get free updates on their studio every once on a while without asking ! 🥰

It’s necessary but unfortunately, right now, arm wrestling US big-tech feels like it would require economic unity on a much wider scale, something akin DMCA across every other country than US…

Wow that’s crazy, I didn’t even know it was possible to smash a gamefound target and cancel campaign. 530k remains very good by a lot of standards, I feel managing the success of the first campaign has been hard for them 😬
