This one I have lots of fun with! I try to come at aliens from a completely different perspective. One of my favorite had trilateral symmetry, communicated by lightstrip, and five genders: male, female, caretaker, guardian, and pruner. Here's a commission I got done of one of them!

For me, this might have to be the fjords of New Zealand. We got to see them up close from the deck of a ship, and it very much inspired some of the scenery in Physical Magic and Intent Magic, which take place on a world with fast-moving islands!
