Vermont Sanderista now in Oakland.
Thanks to you, I'm nauseously optimistic that we'll get through it. The occasional pastrami at Saul's (now $25, $22 last year) helps.

I wouldn’t say, but he is an innings eater. I don’t see them sending another starter.

He’s only thrown 49 pitches through 6. I’d let him keep on in search of a Maddux.

Looking over his B-R page, he was a much better player than I remember.

Have you read Steven Goldman's book, "Forging Genius?" It's all about the brilliance of Casey Stengel. Alex Cora is channeling his inner Casey. Imagine Sogard and Yoshida the offensive stars of the game? Alex did.

Thanks for the sanity, Professor Tribe...and for all you do.

True, but well over 350 of those appearances were in relief.

What’s with Romy?

Whitlock and Chappy both unavailable today?

They really need to do something about the pen before heading to the Bronx. Campbell and Moran need to be DFAd. Hicks needs a fake injury.

Donald Trump would like to thank you. As desperately as he is trying to change the subject, any subject, from all the despicable things he's doing, you have bought right in.

Why does Gonzalez need another day off? Glad to see that Ceddanne is moved up in the order. Should buy him one more PA. Agree with you that he should be in CF. He is 5th among AL position players with 3.9 bWAR and the highest bWAR not on the All Star team.

Completely agree, Pete

Don’t hold your breath, waiting for delivery.

Did one party or the other go out of their way to make it difficult for certain ethnic groups to vote? Were there successful efforts to purge voter rolls? I'd say there's a lot to suggest that the answer to questions 2, 3 and 4 is "yes." Does that qualify as cheating?
June 17, 2025 at 11:51 PM
It depends on what you mean by "stealing." Were votes tampered with, improperly counted or not at all? Were people in minority neighborhoods tricked into going to the polls on the wrong date or to the wrong polling place?

Chronicle: "The crowd in San Francisco swelled to many thousands as it stretched from Dolores Park to Civic Center, possibly even 100,000." My own judgement is that there's no way this crowd fits into Oracle Park which holds 41K. 100k seems reasonable.

Your doc shows 40k at SF-VanNess. Indivisible is reporting at least 50K. My sense is that's way short. Oracle Park holds 41K. No way this crowd comes close to filling it.

Jesus H Christ. Did she really say that?

Been waiting a while to drop that one?

Guess he heard you.

I wonder why, Pete, I've heard not a word of moving Trevor Story over to first to allow the elevation of Marcelo Mayer. Story's DWAR for the year shows that he's become merely adequate at short.

I'm totally with Raffy at this point. He accepted the DH role and it seems they're jerking him around.
