Noooo I want ability gating and incentivized backtracking again!

While I find merit in the idea of balancing your in game team around also needing to teach the traversal moves, adding more absolutely would necessitate the removal of that, which I do believe would just be a net fun benefit (specifically for gamers who enjoy the genre)

Honestly I think there is a way to solve that while still adding the ability gating and incentive to backtrack back to the game, whether it be you have a separate list of out of battle moves you can teach your mon, or a post gym leader technique tutor type deal.

I feel like we could add a snow traversal option as well as vine whip grappling hook type deal to close gaps dig to go further underground in caves..
