A very pleasant 40 minutes spent reacquainting myself with Buckingham / McVie, from 2017. Duo project but this being Mac, the bassist and the drummer are John McVie and Mick Fleetwood. There's a temptation to treat it as an immensely satisfying final (for now? who knows?) Fleetwood Mac album.

Isn't he sweet? So immobile, so cuddly. And the monster's not bad either, ahhhhhh.

Just stumbled across this photo of Tony Iommi making an appearance at "Black Sabbath - The Ballet". Look at those faces. Oh my word.

Today's Blake's 7 - Gambit. Oh, man. The least Blake's 7 episode there ever was, but one of the greatest. Is it my favourite? I might well be. It's over the top, overacted, over-played, over-excitable and utterly ridiculous - and I love every second of it.

Make way for Harold Llloyd's Christmas Tree, ya-da ya-da ya-da ya-da-da-da. You'd need more than a pair of glasses and a smile to take in all of that one.

The finest programming consultant Harlech Television ever had. They really don't make the covers to Christmas magazines like they used to, do they?

Funny thing with some series that you love. You can watch every episode, love the series as a whole, but some bits of it just don't stick. Every time you watch those episodes, it's like you're watching it for the first time. Apropos of nothing, tonight's Blake's 7 - Countdown.

Season 21 next up on the Doctor Who blu-rays. Pre-orders in the usual places. Amazing to think that after this there's just Seasons 11 and 16 to go and that's everything from 1970 up to 1989 done.

AI Search now part of Ecosia. "Eco-friendly", apparently, and totally voluntary. Good, because no matter how eco-friendly it may claim to be, I want nothing to do with it.

While we're on the subject of "Keep It In The Family", what in the name of CRIVVENS is going on here? I mean, I bought the DVDs, I saw it, but I have NO memory of this whatsoever. Presumably I blanked it out.

Two years ago today, a hairy-handed and somewhat hopeful searcher after cheap thrills found his way to my blog using the search terms "middle class girl pyjamas". I'm sure he enjoyed my review of "Keep it in the Family" Season 1 no end. Once he got over the disappointment.

"The Skeleton in the Armchair" - a decidedly non-tittersome tale from Francis of Howerd in the Christmas 1949 Radio Times. Good lord.

Christmas Radio Times cover for 1949, by Eric Fraser. God, that's a *beautiful* piece.

Current reading - Uwe Schutte's biography of Kraftwerk. Not only is it pretty much definitive, but it comes in a *fantastic* cover. Everything about this just works.

Every now and then I get a captcha that asks me to prove I'm a human. When I complete it, it announces "Success!"

I find it impossible not to bellow the word out loud as it happens, like a demented Max Wall finally getting a response from an apathetic audience.

The magnificent SAHB in all their Christmas Urchin finery. Like a dissipated version of the McGann brothers, if there were more than four of them. "Don't make any baubles, don't hang any baubles, don't pull any crackers and never ever pish on yer Christmas Tree when the lights are up."

A little late, but this just reappeared in my timeline. A couple of venerable and dear friends who I share my life with wanted to send their best wishes, and to wish you every success. And so do I. The very best of luck with it.

Oh, and "The Project Strigas Affair" from S1 features both William Shatner AND Leonard Nimoy. Shatner does a spectacular drunk act. It's one to cherish.

Every now and then I look at 4 Extra schedules, and I'm struck by how often the writer is included in the main billings. See this example for later on today - Wally K Daly gets an entire collection devoted to him, and Rules of Asylum gets James Follet's name as part of the title. Good.

These ones! Soundcore p30i. 24 quid. Connected to Bluetooth straight out of the box, and they sound *fantastic*. I recommend them very very much.

Genuinely had no idea this record existed until two minutes ago but now... I covet.

The centenary of Little Ern. A man who contributed an awful lot to the sum total of human happiness. If you have access to it, stick on the last Thames show from their first series there. He does a dance with Gemma Craven and I swear, you'll never see him look happier. He's where he wants to be.

Thomas Ince's studio complex "Inceville", photographed in 1919. Taken from his Wikipedia page. What a remarkable photograph.
