Lyria & Gale are good friends, & alongside Astarion visit him often. He's a key helper in research for how to get Astarion back safely in the sunlight.
When visiting, Lyria always bring a gift for Tara, so between Gale's friendship, & treating her well, she likes her!

This time I've actually started exploring her history.
She was from a Drow noble house, separated from her mother (who might be alive) when their city was destroyed. Always been a bit nervous because the lore is vast, but she's my character, and I should embrace that! 💜

Lyria likes to see her friends and found family safe and happy, and that's when you'd see her genuine warm smile.

Besides everything tied to her Father, Lyria can't stand some of the "noble elite". The false behaviour, machinations, treating others with disdain, and the ridiculous outfits.
She'll happily work with Astarion to relieve them of some of their unearned riches.

Lyria's scars are on her soul, from the past she constantly tried to fight. It's left her weary of the world, and bearing the weight of her guilt. Over time it will lessen, but it will always have an impact on her life.
It's a bittersweet kindred she shares with Astarion 💔

Lyria is constantly running on the cusp of encumberence. Trying to grab as much loot as possible to vendor it for coin, and when she tips over, swiftly passing it to one of the stronger members of the party to carry.
She does keep an uncut Amethyst gem that she found.

Lyria doesn't have a singular iconic quote, but she delights in "good" puns, often at the most ridiculous moments. And yes, each groan and exasperated sigh from her party fuels her, and when she gets it just right and they can't help but laugh, that's the best!

For clothing Lyria likes functionality and freedom of movement first, but isn't against something more pretty, especially flowing with her.
Sarcasm, puns and mockery are common traits on how she speaks, with varying degrees of scathing if she likes someone, or not.

Music is Lyria's main hobby, but not just playing her violin.
She finds she enjoys writing music, sometimes can be coaxed to sing, and under Astarion and Wyll's tutelage she learns how to dance without her violin in her hands!
She also teaches Astarion flute!

Astarion's smile, when it's from true joy and reaches his eyes.

Lyria does end up warming to all the companions, but her initial impressions were... mixed.
Astarion: Dagger at my throat? Rude. But he is nice to look at I will admit, and his theatrics are amusing. But that smile doesn't reach his eyes, is he hiding something?

Prior to the events of BG3, it was the destruction of her violin.
It had been her way of fighting the Urge, and after over a 100 years trying to resist, it crushed her. She finally gave up, and turned to bloody destruction, becoming a key instigator of the Absolute.

They were also in honour of the mother she lost. She too had facial tattoos, but never explained what they meant. When she would ask, Lyria was repeatedly told: "I shall explain when you're older", but that chance never came.

Lyria's face tattoos are intricate waves and lines, to her representing the flow of music and how it weaves around the listener. She hoped it would be a reminder to ground herself in music against the Urge, rather than just looking in a mirror and seeing only her guilt

The thing that makes Lyria weak: Fear
She fears the loss of control from the Urge, hurting those she cares for, memories it haunts her with. It can cause her to hesitate or react without thinking.
Once free of her Father her fear begins to ease a little

Lyria has been through so much, and feeling betrayed by her Father from a young age has left her skeptical and slow to trust. Not just because she fears more betrayal from others, but also from herself and the Urge. She doesn't feel she deserves trust.
