I obviously don’t know your specific situation, but hopefully there’s value to be found in your introspection. Even if it’s unpleasant in some regard, it doesn’t have to stay unpleasant. It may be able to become something good and helpful to you, if you evaluate what you’ve learned.

I think self discovery in pretty much any context has the potential to be a good thing. Even if you think the context is cringe, or heck, if you’re learning unpleasant truths about yourself, that’s just presenting an opportunity for growth and change. That’s not a bad thing.
