I finally tested the M5 iPad Pro with local AI and Neural Acceleration in the GPU.
The performance improvement from the M4 in time-to-first-token is WILD.

I refused to test AI image generation because it's gross.
Instead, I ran my tests for local LLMs using both llama.cpp and MLX.
We even built a custom MLX app just for this.
Even with Neural Accelerators, our LLM app did not see dramatic performance gains.
