We got Ms West back today. Bittersweet, but I’m really glad she’s back *and* they gave back her wee tiny dog bed.

Salvage time: I got this snake hidden under the planter piece back from the kiln fused to its cookie. Not a snakehead in sight, not anymore. So I gold leafed the cookie and restated the shape of the snake coiled around the base with acrylic black paint. When they’re dry, I’ll seal them.

It’s mid-morning-time for brunch, some BattleBots, and then? We’ve had Covid, been packing up all that makes our house look like us, left both our beloved jobs, and our last dog died.

A few things from the kiln. A Gloamer,that’s the headless bird candlestick, a toad—he is a Grimmick, a figure from Grimm’s fairy tales—& tiny holiday Oddlers and Baublers, the little soot gnomes/elves who make my baubles. See the tiny animal figures? They’re baubles they make for me.

My four legged baby, Miss Mae West passed a little while ago in her sleep. All one could ask for, really—die with your loved ones with you, at home, in your comfiest spot.
