It’s all eugenics and fascist necropolitics the whole way down.

These people are exterminationist and want to”cleanse” the planet.
further insults to injury on world AIDS day — not being recognized by the united states for the first time since it first began being observed in 1988

incredible strides made in science & medicine in the treatment & prevention of HIV being destroyed for literally NO defensible reason

schmitt’s derisive mention of “color revolution” is a good clue as to the nature of his information environment
Sen. Eric Schmitt: "This is the language of a color revolution where you're calling on military men and women to disobey orders."

i’m genuinely so convinced all of this has been a planned operation by the student and her mother (who is commenting on this publicly, and associated closely with the republican party), and big far right propaganda account going all in on it. this is designed to oust trans people from public life

The orchestrated Uni of Oklahoma outrage immediately reminded me of a similar case we witnessed at Texas A&M in September, where the targeted professor was fired. So I looked up the most recent updates on that, and about a week ago, a faculty appeals panel found that the university was at fault.
Faculty panel says Texas A&M wrongly fired professor
Texas A&M did not have good cause to fire a professor after a video of a gender lesson created a political storm, and the school failed to follow due process, a faculty appeal committee found.

🔥 BREAKING: A spokesperson for Kids Can Press, the publisher of the Franklin the Turtle books, messaged me today about Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth using the likeness and image from the books to make light of killings in the Caribbean in his post yesterday on X.

As Brit Hume says, when Pete Hegseth says he "has the back" of Admiral Bradley, he means he's plunging a knife into it.

"Republicans will never allow articles of impeachment to be brought to the floor of the House of Representatives, and we know that's the case."

This is a flat-out 100% lie from @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social and he knows it. Impeachment resolutions are privileged, they can force a vote at any time.
For some reason Democratic leaders seem to prefer telling voters what they won’t be able to do, rather than what they’d like to do.

If Hegseth ordered a war crime and lied about it, shouldn’t Ds try for impeachment? Put Rs on the spot. They might get a few defections.

If youre equivocating about the actual fairness of the numbers of the grade of a paper that you managed 2 read because it was shared by the stochastic nazi terror org whose mission is to make colleges places unsafe for queers and POC might I suggest you've lost the fucking plot

I know this point has been made before, but it's *wild* that the sort of thing that 15 years ago would have been restricted to nazi internet forums and dodgy leaflets chucked around town centres is now just being printed in national newspapers. No idea how to fix this, but it definitely needs fixing
