In response to the Aotearoa/NZ government’s racist attempts to smash down Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, our high school is doubling down, creating and new Te Ao Māori program for next year and encouraging more te Reo. 💜

There haven't been many books where I finished Book 1 and absolutely had to dive straight into Book 2, and I mean straight away! I finished Anahera, walked to my bookcase, grabbed Pariah, and dove straight in! Pariah was utterly epic! There really are no words for how much I adore Vianne's writing and the world she has created! You are hooked in and then kept in suspense of what is coming next through the whole book! I am desperate for the next book in the series. How to Take a Great Author Photo Do not make direct eye contact. Act like you've got better things to do. Go viral. Include cats. Represent your co-author well. Exercise your laser beam eyes. Excite readers with an action shot! Camera shy? Go with a personal caricature. Place your index finger in your ear. Demonstrate how a book works. Keep things clean with a look of innocence. If you're worth it, flaunt it! Remember: You need their votes this year.
