Yep! Most of the Robin Hood characters were adapted and borrowed from older stories. Just like how there's now an entire category of lit that derives from Twilight fanfic. Humans have always humaned.

Somebody on Twitter back in the day got Big Mad that I spelled it Marion when it's been spelled both ways historically and Robin Hood derives from oral tales anyway. Ah, social media.

I giggled because I'm editing the love scenes as I read this.

I'm similar, even before I moved to Canada I'd read so much Brit lit that for the life of me I couldn't remember which spelling of realise/realize went where. But I didn't pick up colour, theatre, and cheque until I came up here.

Why do I write in American English? Well, there are only 40 million Canadians and our spelling is a weird amalgamation of US and UK spellings. I chose to have the smallest population possible be angry at my spelling. That'd be the UK and maybe Canada (but frankly we don't notice much).

I am starting to be very thankful that MM is marked "mature" because the spambots don't seem to mark themselves as 18+ and thus rarely make it to my page.
