I've talked about this to a friend a lot lately.
It's really odd how weird we are about sex. We're entirely fine with a ton of violence, but add any amount of sexuality to it and people get icky.
How did we even get to making something so inherent to being alive this much of a taboo?

I'd argue she didn't call religious language offensive at all. She mentioned parts of it being offensive (which, I mean, the literal "demonic" thing) almost as an aside as if she was being careful not to make that the centerpiece but really there was no way they weren't going to pounce on that.

being real I don't think this would have changed anything.

I love that song

This is something I honestly wrestle with. I have written whole articles about how AI is a misnomer! But I feel powerless in the tides of linguistic drift. People are gonna say "AI" when talking about all these disparate technologies no matter what I write.

It's something I'm thinking about tho.

I do think people are genuinely trying to be helpful but "I can bring the righteousness of an important social issue to a personal petpeeve" is a tasty and seductive snack that almost everyone gives into at some point.

Harsh, but fair.
