Solidarity with Dr. Mohamed Abu Mughaisib, who is sharing on LinkedIn the devastating reality of the situation in Gaza.
It is heartbreaking to watch and feel powerless. What can we do to help? History will not forget the West nor those in positions of power who have stood by and done nothing.

1/4 I took part in the very first Working-Class Academics Conference in 2020 — a cozy, inspiring space shaped by both PhD and non-PhD holders organized by Peter Shukie @shukieone.bsky.social . It felt like a grassroots community, full of care and vision. The 2nd edition in 2021 brought new energy

Rome 4 Palestine (June the 7th)
"You cannot open fire on those who are simply asking for bread" - "They bear no guilt—only a name and a land: to be Palestinian." There were many people

In Italy, not many people vote these days. But today, it's worth remembering something important: it wasn’t just the birth of the Italian Republic in 1946. The 2nd of June was also the 1st time women were allowed to vote. Back then, ppl were deciding between a monarchy & a republic.

Trying to reverse the gaze in business by organizing events like this one and inviting amazing speakers like Noell Maggini for a Q&A in my entrepreneurship class. This is what it means to apply intersectionality in business. He does it for real!

All my respect and solidarity to Nives Monda and the Trattoria Santa Chiara in Naples.
Defending human rights is not a crime — it is a moral and historical responsibility. Condemning the crimes committed in Gaza is not antisemitism. Support Nives Monda.

A kind and meaningful way to help: support Gaza students in spoken English sessions via WhatsApp (Weds @ 4pm Gaza time). No teaching experience needed—just empathy, patience, and fluency.

"The factory shouldn't just focus on profit—it must distribute wealth, culture, services, and democracy. I design the factory for the person, not the person for the factory." — Adriano Olivetti.
Considering the terrible conditions of workers' rights in Italy, it's important to say: Happy Labor Day!

Antonio Gramsci passed away on this day in 1937, a victim of fascism. Rest in power. A brilliant thinker, intellectual, and anti-colonial voice, he was incarcerated for his ideas.

Sorry for that. Your message makes me think of this book. He was Dr. Jackie Huggins' father. She wrote a book about his dad. I found it very interesting.

Today, April 25th, Italy celebrates its liberation from Nazi-Fascism. Today, it is essential not only to be anti-fascist but also anti-colonial. Menen Abegaz, Aden Sciré, Thur Nur, Mohamed Raghé were part of Banda Mario, a resistance group that included racialized & Black partisans.

This widely circulating photo in the (Italian) social media shows a man peacefully supporting the Palestinian cause.
It highlights the violent response protesters faced in Milan — even elderly individuals were not spared.

The dismantling of the Department of Education reflects years of neoliberal policies turning Anglo-American uni into commodities. Led by financial experts rather than educators with a PhD in education, this shift would have been opposed by mMontessori, who championed leadership rooted in pedagogy

Prof Luciana D'Arcangeli transformed a lecture on violence against women & girls into a powerful theatre piece with dramatized readings. The message resonated deeply at The American University of Rome. She performed with Duncan Vecchiarelli & India Rose. From 🇦🇺 🦘to 🇮🇹
