Yesterday was the farewell symposium of Huub Rijnaarts, now emiritus professor. Anexample how investment of 200 M€ by the goverment saved 80 B€ for remediating contaminated soil. Huub suggested a similar approach for the nitrogen crisis, but I don’t think our politicians are smart enough anymore.
