and its like, hell yeah man! i wanna do that! that's awesome! this is why i love listening to and making weird music

but still, im still enormously inspired by it, especially on a purely sonic level. there's projects out there like Interracial Sex and Cathode Terror Secretion doing some truly crazy sonic experiments in this scene and it's so cool to witness. you just cant get this sorta thing anywhere else

p.e. in general is pretty unforgivingly edgy and provocative and that's kinda the point, but it also means i can hardly talk about it with anyone. i cannot in good conscience share a lot of my recommendations with most of my friends on account of the themes.

and like, it feels kinda weird, right, being this guy so intensely fascinated by music whose purpose is to make you feel disgusted and disturbed or whatever, among my friend groups of much more tastefully-inclined artists and musicians. but god im so inexplicably enamored with this type of music

being able to do this live and with hardware would be an absolute dream for me. i even have some pedals and a fledgling eurorack system going on (with only two modules thus far lol) that i intend on making into an noisy experimental synth instrument.
