The Trump Admin’s unprecedented secrecy and hostility toward Congress is hurting our country.

Last week, in my @houseforeign.bsky.social hearing, a Republican Admin refused to send a witness for their Republican chair.

Trump is leaving his own party in Congress—and all Americans—out to dry.

Families are facing higher health care premiums and Mike Johnson won’t even promise a vote on the issue—let alone promise to work with us and fix it. Millions will be priced out of their health insurance if Congress doesn’t act fast.

I went to immigration court in Seattle to observe the kids docket. These children, some as young as three years old, are expected to understand complex legal processes and represent themselves in court.

That’s not due process.

The President is calling for Democratic members of Congress to be hanged. This is deplorable, un-American, & an open invitation to political violence.

Servicemembers take their oath to the Constitution, not to any president. I stand with my colleagues who have honorably served this nation.

As someone who is hard of hearing, I know firsthand the importance of having access to quality hearing aids & audiology care.

That's why I introduced the HEAR Act, which would expand Medicare coverage to include these crucial services.

For four decades in elected office, my dear friend Congresswoman @velazquez.house.gov exemplified what it means to be a public servant. Our city and nation owe so very much to her – as do I.
The administration’s rush toward war with Venezuela is reckless and unlawful.

I won’t stand by while we’re marched into another disastrous intervention. Congress must reassert its constitutional authority and stop this escalation.

CPC Deputy Chair @Ilhan Omar: “Trump’s disgusting display at a White House reception for MBS—attacking American journalists on MBS’s behalf and warmly embracing the Saudi dictator—marks a new low in longstanding U.S. support for the repressive monarchy.”

🚨 Congress just OVERWHELMINGLY voted to release the Epstein files — a milestone Oversight Dems have been fighting for since the beginning.

But Donald Trump doesn’t need to wait for the Senate. He can release the files TODAY.

I signed the discharge petition to force this vote on releasing the Epstein files, which I strongly support. I woke up today with a bad bug, but would've voted yes had my vote been needed for passage. Happy to see it pass nearly unanimously, and I look forward to returning soon.

In just 7 weeks, 24 million Americans will see their premiums skyrocket. Losing insurance isn't an option for families like Kelly's, my constituent, whose partner relies on coverage to manage chronic disease.

Trump & Republicans knew that & still refused to extend ACA tax credits.

His betrayal continues, now refusing to set a runoff date. Whether on rising healthcare premium costs or releasing the Epstein files, Texans deserve a voice.
Vacant Houston Congressional seat could play key role in Epstein vote
How fast Houston's vacant congressional seat gets filled could determine when the U.S. House votes on a bill to force the release of more files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

It’s a shame we’ve even gotten to the point of needing a discharge petition.
