So that the Creature could feel more of a victim. Which I don't think that the story needs, because Victor is clearly already at fault for all of this. Then there are also parts of the movie when the characters will just say the subtext out loud. So the ending where they also do that feels unearned.

Yeah, it kinda ditched then part of the story from the book when the Creature becomes a villain and does a bunch of terrible things on purpose. Which ultimately is still Victor's fault because he screwed up as a father.
So it feels like the story got way too much simplified and less complex.

Yeah, that part is fine. I'm more confused about why there is Street Fighters spliced in there and at what studio meeting that was decided.
I'm gonna assume that play-testers didn't respond well to the game and they decided to expand the scope of the game for mass appeal.
