Many who vote Reform at local or mayoral elections will hesitate before doing so at Westminster (as we saw in 2024), either because there is more at stake or out of residual loyalty to the Tories. Nigel Farage's long-term plan of supplanting the Tories is going well, but in 2029 the right looks set to be hopelessly split.
