forgot to say that i applied for a job as an in-between animator a few weeks ago, but it was not meant to be :/

so i then tried (emphasis on tried) animating a character from one of my favorite series :D was interesting to say the least

the ralsei!!! :D + original background
(read alt texts esp in the first pic for process)
Ralsei standing in front of one of the dark fountains, blushing and smiling :D was a bit inspired by some of SimonSquared's drawings of Ralsei so there might've been some aspects pulled from his work here (since i found those aspects so appealing) doing compositing (especially in clip studio paint) is not my strong suit so its not necessarily the best here :/ its not easy for me to make effects work look convincing, let alone draw them in unique ways, not that i do much of it at all, which probably shows here with how messy the effects are redrawing it was actually quite simple! i already have an established style for drawing ralsei so it was simple enough to go ahead and redraw the piece on top of the original! of course i didnt want to just redraw the original piece as it was already, i wanted to add more dynamism to the piece (even if i think it doesn't work 100% but who am i to talk right now) and add more life to the pose from the og piece, and i think that part really worked out wonderfully! this is much much different from the genga (key drawing) i did for this however, i follow the process of rough layout - corrections to composition - rough genga - final genga - then the rest, but the final genga was substantially more empty than it looks with the final composited piece. that's a bit of an issue on my end because if i think there's something wrong with the overall genga i go back and just re-adjust aspects of it, possibly altering my original intent, but honestly? it worked out for the better here bg for the ralsei piece before i applied the compositing effects onto everything; colors are a little less saturated

some random i drew out of boredom for a layout, kept him in for the final, wasn't told to remove him thankfully, this is in the era where i didnt know how to draw human ears right so rip almost a year old wtf! anyways its the cult of the lamb lamb saying hiiiii in the most wooden and stiff way imaginable!! might redraw this someday lots of paper drawings here!! some drawings were failed attempts at making characters, some i quite like and i might come back to, a few are just characters from coolies like Bird_CPU & aimkid

trying to figure out why i should keep drawing anymore [part 8/?]
Now I actually don't really know what this is supposed to be but here I go... A creature growing out from behind a thin cube, with a flower for an eye, some loosely hanging leaves, spiky branches and tentacles growing as well. In the background there's a tiny cloud with some rainfall. welp that's my attempt at explaining this ig!! A painting I did when I lacked experience with the medium, trying to replicate me when I was in my "drawing humans with ridiculously huge but loose hair-styles" phase. Basically one half of the painting has actual color design, the second half doesn't, going for a more monochrome look. A scrapped character similar to Brayden, called Milo! the only real difference between the two is the spots, hands, clothing, and the hair. that's really it! Brayden (in an old hoodie design I would later remove) looking towards the sky. The background looks kinda fucked so don't even worry about it
