When I was undertaking my honour's thesis on incels, I spent a lot of time reading incels' posts and comments. Not engaging or arguing, just reading. It warped my language and thoughts. I remember audibly laughing at an incel's "joke".

A bunch of one shot, disconnected movies set in the further past. You do not need to have watched any one to understand any of the others. There can be connected movies (like trilogies), but they must be telling a self-contained and fully fleshed out story.

My feed is awash with what Trump and his Republican party are doing, and is clearly Bannon's strategy to cripple and immobilise any response by overwhelming any opposition by flooding the zone by doing everything. But, there is an easy way to deal with it and, frankly, I am stealing it from the NRA:

Donald Trump is doing a speedrun of "how many countries can we push towards China's economic sphere of influence*" and, I'm not going to say I am here for it (because I am not fan of China), but it will be an historic thing to see a world power destroy its own hegemony.

friendly reminder that the best case scenario over the coming years is that a lot of people say "I supported Trump but this isn't what I wanted at all" and when they do that it's gonna be really, really important that we say "welcome in," not "fuck you, we told you so"

One of the reasons why liberals are failing to combat far-right populist actors is because they operate with the idea that they can be shamed.
Far right actors have no shame in their hypocrisy, in their beliefs, in the outcomes they push for, or the things they say.
