this is the gacha paradox. some of the best art, music, stories, and gameplay (...usually not all 4 at once) are trapped in gachas. its easy to want them to be offline, single-purchase experiences. but if they didn't have gacha money they wouldnt be able to find what they are!
Kinda sucks when they have good art or music in it because I’ll try any game that boasts that regardless if I ultimately like it, but it’s already bad enough when I play a regular game and the main menu has a giant “VISIT OUR STORE” button

realized 30 hours into Trails FC remake that I haven't really posted about it much.
it's really solid. everything i was told about the cast and NPCs being impressive was true, and on top of that the battle system is really fun. dungeons are only okay but I think anything more might get in the way

The problem is not too many games. Not everyone needs to play every game. Not every game SHOULD need to make a huge sales splash. There is a problem with getting games to their audiences. It's a curation, literacy, storefront, scope, and legacy games culture problem.
