Part of the problem also is pay and conditions, but this is so true, and people don't seem to realise it. Second generation immigrants are some of the biggest contributions to the amount of money governments earn from taxes; no country can afford to lose them. #NHS #nurses #doctors #racism
What many politicians don't realise - or want to understand - is that many of the "highly-skilled" immigrants whose labour they crave were raised by the same asylum seekers and refugees they openly despise. They take the racist political rhetoric personally, and act accordingly. Why wouldn't they?

As a society we need to stop punching down, or punching slightly up, and start punching up at the people who are actually responsible for the problems in the world. Critiquing other people is fine, but we should stop infighting and start fighting our real enemies. #politics #philosophy #trans

Lack of female representation can be a vicious cycle. When you can see people like you doing something, it makes it a lot easier to see yourself doing it. There are simply not enough women in leadership roles in general world-wide. #feminism

I don't feel jealous often, but I feel it more often than I would like to admit. As a closeted trans woman, I often find myself jealous of openly queer people and cis women who are comfortable in themselves. It's important to understand when jealousy might be shaping our thinking so we can be better

If people spent less time getting angry at fat people on the internet who dare to be confident in their bodies, and more time getting mad at the advertising industry for promoting fast food and sugary products, society would be a lot healthier.
