she/her, dispelling any confusion
Since my beloved Lucie In The Sky With Diamonds ran away last August, I've been living vicariously through other people's cats, and this one made my day. Thanks you, Democrat Cats.

Not the first "Hold My Beer' moment for the Trump administration

Koosman was a sweetheart, donna, a big lefty goofball. This is from Mets fantasy camp in 1990, one of my favorite memories from 46 years of umpiring. That's the late great Jerry Grote #15 catching Koosman, and Yours Truly calling the strikes. With THAT battery, I called ALL strikes, no balls lol

Not an aurora, just yesterday's sunset over Las Vegas, unretouched. I love sharing beautiful things ❤️

Arnold was a national treasure! Almost blind at the end of his long life, he never stopped reading, writing, and advocating for the preservation of a vanishing way of life in his beloved Laguna Beach. A dear man who wrote a classic of baseball lit that informed YOUR classic of baseball lit, Luke.

I'm sweet on Snowies ❤️

This was mine, my covid kitty Prince who died from an overdose of anesthesia he got at the vet. In his honor, I remind you to never accept a pet from the vet after surgery if it's not fully awake and aware. I thought mine was just sleeping it off, and he died hours later.

My father Larry Barber, a pilot in the newly formed Air Force during the Korean War. He disappeared in 1959 after taking a small watercraft out on the Atlantic Ocean near Brigantine, NJ, and was never seen again. 66 years later, I still think about him every day; today, I thank him for his service.

Lucie In The Sky With Diamonds, a defiantly democratic cat, approves this message

Rückenfigur, my favorite perspective!

It's not about ass, either, just something about seeing things the same way the subject of a painting or photograph sees them that connects the viewer to what's being viewed in a powerful and visceral way

The draft for the 4-team Women's Professional Baseball League is drawing nigh.

But it's not just about the players and coaches. Stay tuned for news about something huge about to happen in the world of women umpires, one of the most exciting and profoundly personal projects I've ever been a part of.

It's not pandering or flip-flopping or backtracking to retool a political position, refine an idea that once seemed promising, or ditch it entirely if it loses the luster that made it so appealing in the first place. Mamdani is listening to experts, and more importantly, hearing his constituents too

Food for thought on the Addison Barger ground rule double when Justin Dean held up his hands instead of digging for the ball: the rule protects players from risk of injury who might otherwise go digging or poking around for the ball. They could get scratched, bruised, stuck; the rule keeps them safe

One reason to support Blaha: to change the culture of a congress that re-draws districting maps not for the benefit of voters, but purely out of spite and pique to ensure that the opposition party loses voters and House seats. That is no way to govern. Blaha will represent Illinois with INTEGRITY.

That was not a swing; he didn’t offer at the pitch.

My heart is pounding. Bottom of the ninth inning baseball is the best!

Not to wallow in schadenfreude over Andrew Spencer's defrocking by his own brother, but in honor of Virginia Giuffre I just ordered "Nobody's Girl," and am eagerly anticipating reading it, not so much for the guilty pleasure of hating on him, but out of deep and abiding respect for her.

A hundred years ago, the press was filled with stories and images demonizing Italians exactly the same way Cuomo vilifies Mamdani here, with Bartiromo simpering along sweetly, saying nothing to set him straight. Both of them, so nauseating in their willful ignorance.
