The Dem’s stated goal of saving ACA was *always* a no-win scenario.
1. WH doesn’t pretend to comply with the law.
2. GOP can’t be trusted to uphold any deal in this post-rescission world.
The electoral swings we saw Tuesday is the closest we get to a “win”. Nothing changes until we flip Congress.

1. WH doesn’t pretend to comply with the law.
2. GOP can’t be trusted to uphold any deal in this post-rescission world.

I don’t disagree!
It’s obscene that GOP can fund $75 BN for ICE but can’t be bothered to comply with court orders for SNAP.
But the lawlessness of Republicans is exactly why this shutdown was always a no-win scenario. At least it isn’t for the stated Dem goal.

It’s obscene that GOP can fund $75 BN for ICE but can’t be bothered to comply with court orders for SNAP.

I’m sure there are a mix of both. It’s a complicated issue and out of the ~1.6 MM affected feds, there will be lots of diverse opinions.
