Update, I found the clip from PAX Prime 2015 where they spoke about the entire story. And while they don't mention Bull by name, it's pretty obvious who they're talking about considering the final asset in-game seen above...

In Devil May Cry 5, when playing as Vergil, if you use his EX Taunt during the final battle against Dante, Dante will immediately stop attacking to join in and turn it into a dance battle. This works with both phases of the fight, and the final slash Vergil performs does have a damage hitbox.

I know it's not everyone's jam, but I got back into poking around with Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion. I forgot how satisfying it can be to just fire off the "yes" amount of missiles...
