The greatest gift you could give me is not offloading every decision to robot predictors.
Roughly 42% of shoppers are already using A.I. tools for their holiday shopping, a recent survey found. More than half of Generation Z and millennial respondents said they trusted A.I. to recommend unique gifts. nyti.ms/4pocGQc
A.I. Can Do More of Your Shopping This Holiday Season
New tools and features from retailers and tech companies use artificial intelligence to help people find gifts and make decisions about their shopping lists.

I don't see how this can be true. Almost no one I know is still on it. Anecdotal I guess, but seriously like no one I know.

Yes, this is truly the worst. When a car is slowly moving like they're going to enter a lane and I'm on a bike I basically must stop to make sure I'm not going to run into this car who may or may not see me.
Smart story.

A different thing – when people are in the crosswalk and a driver at a topped light keeps creeping slowly into the crosswalk? Like what? That extra 12-18 inches won't make your trip faster. But now a pedestrian has to worry if the driver will hit them.

Stop MENACING people walking!
so uhhhhh is anyone going to do anything about the epidemic of drivers just blasting through red lights these days? @timdonnelly.com investigates: nygroove.nyc/why-does-no-...

Yeah so who broke the unity and resolve
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

Kind of a stunning video. RFK runs off like he's in danger. Trump stares, transfixed, motionless, as if contemplating something.
RFK Jr's response to someone collapsing nearby him was to haul ass out of the room as quickly as possible

“They must allow ministers to assist with their needs. They've been separated from their families and no one knows what happens.”

Really funny that this psuedo warning about how pervasive smart glasses are soon to be has several links to buy them on Amazon.

Smart Glasses make me want to stop wearing Ray Bans, that's how tainted I think it makes the brand.

sort of wild to broadcast anyone with a bully pulpit saying there aren't any stores in Portland anymore

Two years ago, Dylan Gossett’s only live music experience was performing at open mic nights. All it took was one TikTok hit, and now the country singer is playing one of the biggest stages at Austin City Limits fest.

Dylan Gossett doesn’t consider his music “Texas country,” but his ACL festival homecoming is triumphant all the same.

If Field of Dreams came out today the subtext would be about mental illness. More of a Take Shelter type film then a feel good america's pasttime flick.
A lot of people got convinced by the Field of Dreams message and mistakenly think every idea has a path to success (and forget that Field of Dreams involves, like, magic and shit). Expensive fried food is not a growth industry.
