Professionally, worked for 25+ years in emergency services (EMT, firefighter, dispatcher, etc.). I love animals, especially dogs, and have done a lot of dog rescue. Reading and writing fantasy stories takes up most of the time that is left!

What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.

Trainwreck? In October 2024, The Economist called Biden's economy "the envy of the world."
BARTIROMO: What are you expecting the president's economic message to be?

SEN. McCORMICK: I think the message is that we inherited a trainwreck from the Biden administration and we made a lot of progress

The Trump administration said on Friday that it would waive an $11 million fine levied against Southwest Airlines over the company’s 2022 holiday travel meltdown, when the airline canceled nearly 17,000 flights. The penalty had been part of a fine imposed by the Biden administration.

Even back during the 2024 presidential campaign Trump's mental state should have been questioned. Remember, "They're eating the people's pets." Anyone else in the world would have been ridiculed and dropped from sight. Not Republicans, they remained silent. 🗽

Trump threatened ICE raids at the World Cup. I wonder if the silly "FIFA Peace Prize" was to buy him off so he wouldn't interfere. Both FIFA & Trump are so corruptly transactional, it would work that way. Or course, money may have changed hands, too.

The line between justice and revenge can be mighty fine.

But the crimes against the people are so many and so heinous that public order *demands* consequences.

Otherwise, what are we even fucking doing?

This week Trump pardoned a private equity fraudster, the drug-trafficking ex-president of Honduras, and a Congressman who allegedly took bribes.

Meanwhile, he's weaponizing government to go after his enemies.

Someone should create an account post-Trump that just posts every day a list of the companies and individuals who supported or kissed up to Trump. And then we all should follow that account. They all should face consequences for years…no, decades after he’s gone.

Seriously, Dems should just introduce an impeachment resolution. Hold fcking hearings. Who cares if it doesn't get out of committee?

I want to see the rampant evidence he's put into the public domain shoved in his face, trial style.

This is murder and it demands a response.

While I get the sentiment, all of the cynical comments on every issue get pretty maddening. For example, someone points out Hegseth’s illegal actions. Someone else goes, so? He’ll never be held accountable.

Call me an optimist (I’m not, trust me), but I think Trump officials will go to prison.

Stop saying, "They'll never impeach him." Low expectations grant them permission to continue to do nothing. (Which is a relief to them.)

Demand integrity. Expect better of them. Require them to do their jobs and honor the oaths they swore.

Stop giving them permission.
