The theme was "flip the rules" and our game was a twist on pinball!
We were a team of three—I did half of the coding as well as any last-minute 3D modeling, hah. (The other coder was Maniko and all 2D art is by Hoop!)

Back from IG Jam 16, a 48h on-site game jam:

got ice cream out of the freezer
but hm. last time I forgot. start 10 minute timer on phone
left but happen to return at ~9 minutes. "nice didn't need a timer"
timer rings. I go and turn it off. see something on PC to fix.
come back 30 minutes later and remember there was ice cream (now liquid)

remember most of us who played Unreal Tournament back then did it CASUALLY. it was NOT competitive. random goofy sandbox maps. lots played ONLY OFFLINE.
if your modern arena shooter doesn't have bots and modding, you're doing it wrong. Xonotic is great

genuinely still play UT99 regularly. it's one of the first things to install, launches instantly. quick sessions of easy to parse fun. thousands of custom maps and mutators and weapon replacements

Last Wednesday I had to do a 2h driving lesson and came back super sick. It feels like only 1 or 2 days have passed since, it's all a blur. I still feel off today and not relaxed at all.
I wish I could see lessons as boring or easy events but once again I really dread tomorrow
