For me with Dylan it was more the music. His recent songs just aren’t as lyrically or musically interesting/pleasing/engaging.

Yes. I think in Dylan’s case the myth/man has outgrown his music. Hero worship often skews things.

Often people respond to performers based on their reputation rather than the quality of their performance. I’ve had this experience with Dylan.

Lovely. Reminds me of me a little of my daughter saying that November was called November because there was "no ember" left in the sun.
