Despite it being made in 1992, and only being released as a tv movie, I feel as though it's brutally honest in its portrayal of how young girls and women are treated when people refuse to believe them.

Honestly it was a difficult watch but I ended up being incredibly invested. I can still remember scenes despite not having seen it again since that first time.

What's crazy to me is how relevant it still is, and probably will continue to be. I actually recommend this movie.

Honestly seeing it at a young age sort of made me believe women immediately whenever they claim sexual assault, and it also taught me how evil wanting your family to "stay together" when one member of that family is evil, leads to victim blaming and hatred on all sides.

Liar, Liar: Between Father and Daughter is a story about a young girl who claims her father has sexually assaulted her to "get back at him" for a "spanking"

As the movie progresses you start to understand that the "spanking" was something else entirely.
