currently taking a short break from J5 so im painting an jorogumo yokai snd i started with the umbrella she’s holding but unfortunately the matte varnish i had gave it a frosted effect so im gonna have to strip it all down and start again

unfortunately my desk is extremely messy and im way to ill to clean it lolol and unfortunately this guy is waaaay to big to photograph properly at the moment

the right track is nearly complete with just one more part and yes it does move be it not particularly well, i gotta do a lil bit more sanding and heat bending before it moves a bit more freely

well i have run into an issue With j5 as i want the tracks to turn but the model has parts that won’t turn because the idiot creator put a shape key into the drive sprocket now allowing movement so im gonna have to whip out the rotary tool 😡🤬

most of the parts for the right track are finished except two parts which unfortunately will have to be printed with a combination of whats left of my tough resin and some regular resin

yay got me a cheap tiny desk lathe, hopefully i can modify it with a tool post at some point but im not certain that can be done with this one but at least i can do stuff with plastic and wood

im nearly done printing the right arm and have finished printing the rear wheel so next i will be setting up the files for the tracks so fingers crossed i will have him finished within a week or two

still feeling like crap but starting to feel better, the back is still screwed but i did manage to get some stuff done, unfortunately theres a bunch of surface defects on the multi tool but hopefully i can cover it with some weathering and i may add some dark red or dark brown to the battery fluid

everything is neat and tidy and all the wires are hidden and so far everything works without issues

i got a bit done today which was putting in the extras for his left arm as well as making a ribbon cable from scratch as i couldn’t find one at the right size (later i found one online lol) and gluing on a bunch of D-cell batteries to the ribbon cable bandolier
